FAQ
I already bought Penbook, but the app says I need to upgrade.
Solution: Open Penbook, tap the Account icon (top right), then select Restore Purchases (may require scrolling).
I want to cancel my subscription.
Solution: Using your device with Penbook installed, visit the Apple subscription management link. This displays your App Store subscriptions where you can cancel Penbook.
Note: If you disable renewal, you will be able to continue to use your subscription's features until the current period runs out.
I want a refund.
Solution: Direct refunds aren't available through Penbook. Contact Apple using their refund request instructions at support.apple.com/HT204084.
My devices aren't synchronizing.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Check for a Cloud icon on the Shelf's right side; note any symbols (up/down arrows)
- Verify your iPad Settings for pending items like updated Terms of Service
- Confirm all devices use the same Apple ID and App Store account
- Enable Penbook in iCloud Settings (Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Show All)
If issues persist: Create a backup by tapping Account > Penbook backup > Backup your books, then contact support through the app.
I've lost my work.
Recovery option: Tap Account > "Penbook backup" > "Export page snapshots" to recover available snapshots. Contact in-app support for additional assistance.
